RESORT GENERAL MANAGER
for Waterfront Resort and Campground on Vancouver Island
This 7 acre waterfront Resort, includes a 40 suite Motel, Cabins, Campground (RV and Tenting), out door large Pool with waterslide, Mini Golf, Playground, Barbecue Facilities, Convenience Store and Laundromat
Candidate must have prior experience in a hospitality-related GM or AGM position. Must have strong organizational skills, cost controlling and bookkeeping skills, and be self-motivated.
Resort General Manager
Reporting directly to the Ownership, the Resort General Manager will oversee all resort services operations. The Resort General Manager will be responsible for overall resort and camping operation including budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management. The Resort Manager will build strong relationships with clients and staff. The Resort Manager will ensure that clients are satisfied with the overall service, cleanliness, and maintenance of the Resort and Camping facilities.

Skills:

The ideal Resort Manager will have professional managerial skills, and experience preferably in a resort or camp environment or the hotel industry. Maintains an operating budget ensuring budget goals are attained.
• Directly manages the Resort on a daily basis
• Manages expenses and maximizes revenues to be competitive
• Maintain a high level of awareness on industry best practices/trends, service and technology
• Ability to seek out new experiences that can add value and delight to the Resorts operations
• Ensures that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized
• Leads and manages a small team, ensures superior customer service and that all standards are met
• Inspects the facilities to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are met
• Ensure proper scheduling and coverage for the Resort
• Monitor preventative maintenance program
• Addresses guest concerns and advises Owner where appropriate.
