Job Type: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $18.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Toronto, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Toronto’s Upscale Mexican Restaurant, Los Colibris, meaning “the hummingbirds” is Toronto’s first upscale Mexican restaurant that features exceptional hospitality, white linen services, and authentic world class Mexican cuisine by executive chef, Elia Herrera.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cook (Mexican) is responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals. The position requires experience as a cook, and the individual will be in charge of the culinary activities of our establishment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• May clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• May hire and train kitchen staff.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Education: Completion of College or University.
• Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Food Handler Certificate.
• Experience: 2 years of experience.
• Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
